It's Time!

Read 2 Chronicles 7:14

It is an immense tragedy that the greatest power there is on earth is so often overlooked.

We suffer so much at the hands of the enemy that could so easily be avoided if we just took time to pray.

It is not that the enemy is so strong, that many of Gods people are discouraged and defeated, but because we so often fail to use the greatest weapon we have which is Prayer.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven

Like never before It is time to Pray.

In fact, prayerlessness is sin.

1 Sam 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

Ps 10:4 The wicked through the pride of his countenance will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

To not pray is to blatantly declare our independence from God, and to declare our self sufficiency.

There is no deliverer from Egypt’s bondage without prayer!
There is no Moses without prayer!
There is no Samuel the prophet without prayer!
There is No fire from heaven without prayer,
There is No Manna from heaven without prayer.
There is no salvation without prayer!
There is no deliverance without prayer!
There is no day of Pentecost without prayer!
There is no revival without prayer!

God has so ordained it that everything he does in the earth must be carried in the spiritual womb of his children and birthed in the spirit of Prayer.

Before Hannah was pregnant with Samuel, she conceived him in her spirit in prayer.

“for this child I prayed and the Lord hath given me my petition”

Prayer is where we are given a revelation of the plans of heaven, In prayer miracles are birthed.

There are great things declared in heaven over our lives, but there are many adversaries and many enemies, and the only way to overcome these enemies and open the heavens over our land is Prayer.

I love to preach, I love to shout, I love to sing and Praise God.

But to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven, and I believe that the clock of the holy spirit says:

It’s time!  It’s time to Pray.

You're coming out!

Read:  1 Samuel 14:1-30

We don’t know how long Jonathon was in this situation: 6 hrs, a day, a week, a month, but what we do know is that he was in the same situation as around six hundred other men.  But Jonathon decided that something wasn’t right, he decided that it was not right for the child of God to be hiding in fear of the enemy.

That very moment Jonathon made a decision to do something crazy.

He decided to do the same thing that David did, he decided to make a run at his enemy.  He decided to make a run at his giant!

That devil has been laughing at you, and criticizing you and harassing you long enough.  It’s time to break out.  Nothing will change until you get fed up, until you get sick and tired of being sick and tired.

You may be the only one of six hundred, but one is all it takes if that one believes God.  Moses was one man, Elijah was one man, Gideon was one man, David was one man, Esther was one woman, Rahab was one woman, Jesus was one man, and every one of them changed history.

You may be in a bad place, a painful place, between a rock and a hard place.  You’re being pressed on every side, it seems like there’s no way out, but if you’ll begin to move in faith, you are coming out.

Somebody needs to start believing: I’m coming out.

I’m coming out of financial trouble
I’m coming out of sickness
I’m coming out of depression and discouragement
I’m coming out of Marriage trouble
I’m coming out of attacks against my ministry
I’m coming out of stressing over my children
I’m coming out of the projects
I’m coming out of the pit

I know Joseph was thrown into a pit and a prison, but he didn’t stay there, he came out!

I know the 3 Hebrew boys were thrown into the fiery furnace, but they came out!

I know Daniel was thrown into a den of lions but he came out!

I don’t know what it is that has been pressing upon you and causing you stress and pain and heartache and grief.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth them out of them all. (Ps. 34:19)

You’re coming out in Jesus name!

The Old Path is the Only Path

Read Jeremiah 6:13-16

This exhortation is given to redirect Gods people, to awaken them to their personal responsibility to stand, to see, to ask for and to walk in the old path = the only path.

Many of Israel’s prophets and even the priests had lost their fear of God and their love for God, they had become greedy and materialistic. They were performing their services out of greed.

They were prophesying falsely and deceitfully, they were saying what the people wanted to hear and not what God had said. In doing this it had produced a spiritual cancer that was destroying Gods people, they were covering their sins with religious activities.

This word from God from a true prophet (Jeremiah) told the people that they were responsible to know the truth for themselves and not to be deceived by these false priests, and false prophets.

It is very easy to get caught up in a gospel of what we want to hear:  that is a gospel of convenience and comfort, a gospel without a cross, and a gospel that permits you to think, say, or do anything you want. A gospel that denies the grace of God, and exalts self, so that anything self chooses is considered right and acceptable.

Pr 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Pr 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Any time the bible says something 2 times word for word this close together it is vitally important.

Paul said,
Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Today as never before we must heed this admonition to stand in the ways and see = consider, compare, Do you see the cross? Do you see the blood? Do you see the son of God dying for your sins? Do you see him rising from the dead? Do you see him coming to live in his children through the person of the Holy Spirit?

Do you see the requirement to crucify self?  Do you see Jesus Christ as the only door and way to God the father?

We must never substitute Movement for progress, or Activity for power.

I believe in progress, but all movement and all change is not progress, We must ask ourselves:  Do the changes bring us closer to God’s word and God’s pattern, or take us farther away?

Make sure you are on the old, best, and only path today!
